Aftercare Instructions


Day 1
Blot area with damp cotton round or tissue throughout the day to remove excess lymph fluid. This will help minimize crusting of fluids.
Days 1-10
Using finger tips, gently wash area with anti-bacterial soap (ex. Dial Soap), pat dry and apply aftercare balm using a cotton swab. Do this twice a day, morning and night, for 10 days.

  • Avoid hot sweaty exercise for a week.
  • Avoid direct sun exposure to the area for 30 days. Wear a hat when outdoors.
  • Avoid long hot showers for 10 days and minimize letting the water run over the treated area for too long.
  • Avoid face-down swimming in pools, lakes and hot tubs for 10 days.
  • Avoid makeup or sunscreen on the area for 10 days.
  • Do NOT pick scabs and allow them to fall off naturally to avoid risk of scarring.
  • Contact your physician at any sign of infection.


Day 1

  • Keep lips clean and dry of any lymph fluid that may present itself after treatment.
  • Reapply “Brows Eyes Lips” balm usig a q-tip throughout the day to keep lips hydrated.
  • For swelling apply an icepack with a barrier (ex paper towel) and or take an ibuprofen.

Days 1-10

  • Wipe lips with damp cotton round morning and night and apply aftercare for at least 10 days.
  • Reapply throughout the day to keep lips moist.
  • Cut food into smaller portions to avoid over stretching your lips.
  • Avoid red wine, soy sauce and hot coffee for a week.
  • Avoid salty and spicy food for 10 days and drink fluids using a straw.
  • Do not pick, peel, rub or scratch lips.
  • Do not submerge your head in pool water, go into a sauna or hot tub for 10 days.
  • Avoid direct sun for that period also.
  • Do not apply lipstick for 14 days.


Day 1

Clean the area every hour with a dampened cotton pad to remove the lymph fluid.

Days 2 – 10

Clean the area 2-3 times a day with lukewarm water and apply a thin layer of the prescribed aftercare ointment.

  • Do not touch, rub or scratch the treated area. It is very sensitive and you can peel the pigment off if you treat it inappropriately. Use a q-tip dipped into sterile water and gently clean the area.
  • Do not wear eye makeup, especially mascara, for 15 days.
  • Avoid sun exposure.
  • Avoid sweating, saunas, gyms and working out as well as swimming pools.
  • No facials, botox or any other cosmetic treatments for at least 4 weeks.
  • Do not sleep on your face and use a clean pillowcase.
  • Do not wear contact lenses during the permanent eyeliner aftercare period. Wear glasses instead and when it’s finished, get a new pair of contacts if possible.
