Blush lip tattoo is a semi permanent procedure where pigment is implanted to the lips producing a lip tint look. If you have dull lips or looking to add color to your lips then this is the perfect procedure for you. Not only do we add color, we are also evening out the vermilion border of of your lips to give it a fuller effect. No lip liner look! I am all about natural results. If you are looking for a lipstick look I offer that too.

The expected longevity is a few years as the pigment tends to stick really well on lips. It is safe to start out natural and go darker at touch-up.

A topical anesthetic will be used before and throughout the procedure. The pain level is mid level due to the fact that lips are more sensitive and has more nerve endings. Every effort will be made to ensure comfort. It may help to bring your earbuds to listen to music during the procedure.

***Fever blisters are a common side effect of lip tattooing. If you have any history of fever blisters, cold sores (even if it has been years ago), shingles or chickenpox, it is recommended that you call your primary care provider for antiviral medications and to take prior to and after your appointment. Take it as prescribed by your pcp. Any active cold sores will require a reschedule. This is important because if these instructions are not followed or if information is withheld, you may end up with fever blister outbreaks all over your lip during the healing period.*

To ensure the best retention, it is recommended to exfoliate the lips a week prior to procedure by using a small toothbrush or washcloth. After exfoliating, apply vaseline or aquaphor for moisture. The more soft and moist your lips are, the easier it is to implant the pigment. If you have an ideal color in mind, bring or send few reference photos.

Avoid any blood thinning medication day of treatment. This includes Vitamin E, Aspirin, Niacin, and Ibuprofen.

Do not consume ANY alcohol for at least 24 hours prior your appointment. Avoid smoking if possible as it will delay healing.

Touchup appointment can be scheduled at 8-12 weeks. For lips, it takes up to 8 weeks for the full results to show and the color to surface. This is optional. Touch-up session is considered a perfection session to go over any spots that did not pick up the pigment well or if you would like to go darker/bigger etc. If you are happy with the results, no need to schedule a touchup appointment.
